Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs
compact fluorescent light bulbscompact fluorescent light bulbs

Light up your home with Globe Enersaver® bulbs and save in energy costs. With a growing concern for reducing energy consumption, Globe's line of compact fluorescent lighting is growing in popularity.

With compact fluorescent light bulbs consumers can save money by switching from incandescent bulbs.

CFLs use approximately 70% less energy than incandescent bulbs and produce the same light output.

One CFL bulb lasts from 8,000 to 10,000 hours or up to 10 years. This saves the consumer money in energy costs and bulb purchases.

Globe is committed to educating the consumer about CFL technology.

Through a concerted and caring effort, we can help our green companions live long and healthy lives in our towns and cities. We hope you share our goal and commitment to protecting our valuable, but vulnerable urban trees and shrubs.

Save money and environment, buy outdoor lights with motion detector feature. Most of quality outdoor lights with motion detector feature a passive infrared sensor (PIR) which senses movement and a photocell which senses light. Therefore the motion detector is only activated "from dusk until dawn" when there is a low surrounding level of light.

What You Should Know
The savings in your pocket book may be difficult to gauge when trying only one or two compact fluorescent bulbs in your home. The best way to really see the impact is by changing your top 10 most-used bulbs over to CFLs.
Select the top 10 most used bulbs in your home and replace with CFLs.
The average use for bulbs is 4 hours per day, totaling 120 hours per month. Assume you want to change all 10 bulbs to 100W equivalents (which would be equivalent to 26W CFLs).
The operating cost for ten 100W bulbs over the course of 1 month = $12.00 (based on an energy rate of $0.10/kWh).
The operating cost for ten 26 CFL bulbs over the same period = $3.12 This represents a monthly savings = $8.88 This represents a yearly savings = $106.56
Consider that these savings will be repeated each year for the life span of the bulb (up to 5 years). This is a potencial savings of over $532.80!
